Ham and Cheese in Puff Pastry // Folhado de Presunto e Queijo

Summer = Beach = Heat = Not that much into spending what could be sea/pool hours in the kitchen. Or at the computer - but I guess you can tell that by now.

Instead of the usual sandwiches, why not surprise your kids / relatives / friends with these?

Ingredients
1 puff pastry sheet
grated mozzarella cheese
slices of ham
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of flour
half a cup of milk
1 egg

In a saucepan in medium heat mix 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 tablespoon of flour and half a cup of milk. Reserve.

Whisk 1 egg. Reserve.

Cut the puff pastry in the shapes you want. In an oven proof dish, place the puff pastry, a slice of ham, then the grated mozzarella cheese, and then the butter mix. Leave a margin all around it, so you can place another piece of puff pastry on top, which you will unite with the bottom one with the help of a fork. Paint the pastry with the whisked egg.

Take it to the oven to 160ºC for 20 minutes.

Serve the pastry alone or with a salad - don't miss my next post, with the recipe for the nice summer salad I served them with this time.
Ingredientes
massa folhada
queijo mozzarella ralado
fatias de presunto
1 colher de sopa de manteiga
1 colher de sopa de farinha
meia chávena de leite
1 ovo
